IMO a highly overrated album. The trumpet is mixed in WAY to loud and violently dominates all other sounds, which is even worse for it is played so often.
From just one listening session the songs seem to vary very little - which makes it background music at best.
This is not a particularly good album I think - especially compared to his album 'Into Forever,' which is rather brilliant! I wish I had not made this quick purchase and had not paid 8 GBP plus tax for this thing. onaut

I tend to think of Jazz/Ambient/Electronica as more tenously anchored in the world, but Driftglass were one of several engaged & active artists in the 2019 Mercury nominees: their passion and criticism for the behaviour of the government clearly fuelling their creativity Rich Hims
